When asked what he does, Larry Widis often answers “I’m a client advocate.” That speaks to his dogged determination and commitment to using his skills and experience to deliver unparalleled service to his clients. Sure, he’s a CPA, a bean counter if you will. But he has a fierce desire to use his skills as a tool to help his clients grow their businesses.

Larry works hard to understand his client’s business, and its business goals. Through this discovery process, he and his clients create a true “partnership” based on mutual trust. He looks at the big picture as well as the smallest technical details in formulating his advice and plan of action.

Larry has a rich history in the accounting world. He earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia in 1969. Upon certification in 1980, he spent eight years with Seidman & Seidman (now BDO/Seidman) honing his craft in the area of audit and small business services including IRS Audit and collection representation. For the next decade, he served as Chief Financial Officer for a $100 million local service company. In 1999, with 20 years of public and private small business accounting experience, he formed Larry E. Widis, PLLC.
